A Conversation About The Conversation Age

Posted by Becky Carroll on April 20, 2007

conversation.jpgA few weeks ago, I laid out an invitation here to join us in contributing to an e-book.  The Conversation Age is the brainchild of Drew McLellan and Gavin Heaton.  All proceeds from the e-book will go to the charity Variety Children’s Charity.  There are now well over 100 authors contributing their chapter (up to 400 words) to the project.  My chapter will be on Customer Language.

Here is the list of authors with their links.  I am in good company.  This should be a rockin’ e-book!

  1. Congratulations on getting in on the conversation. I’m kicking myself for not responding when I first heard about this and now the book is closed. Oh well, guess the early blogger gets the post. Holding out for the sequel.

    Doug

  2. I’m terrified now… how about you?

This is going to be something really special and unique- I’m so pleased to be a part of it.

  3. Becky, I think this is a brilliant idea! Glad to know I’m in such great company. Looking forward to reading everyone else’s contributions.

  4. Doug, sorry you won’t be joining us this time, but I am sure we could do something again! You would make a great contribution!

Tim, I don’t think terrified is the right word, but I would love to see some of the other topics so I know where mine fits in… what are you guys writing about?

Robert, thanks for your kind words. I look forward to seeing the finished product as well!

  5. Becky, I can’t wait for the final product! What a fabulous list of contributors, too. I thought I had gotten in before the deadline, but it looks like I didn’t. Next time.

  6. Thanks, always good posts on your blog!

Becky – After seeing the list of impressive bloggers, and knowing that there are great writers who like Doug and C.B, who didn’t click fast enough, my thoughts mirror Tim’s! I’m sure it will be an exciting read and am honored to be a part.

  10. Yes, I agree, Toby, it will be an exciting read! The list is full of so many smart people, I also feel honored to be a part of it.

  11. […] is almost here!  Next week, on Monday, July 16th, we will see the launch of Age of Conversation.  Back in April, I signed on with Drew McLellan and Gavin Heaton to co-author this book (one chapter), along with […]

  13. @chels I know what you mean, its hard to find good help these days. People now days just don’t have the work ethic they used to have. I mean consider whoever wrote this post, they must have been working hard to write that good and it took a good bit of their time I am sure. I work with people who couldn’t write like this if they tried, and getting them to try is hard enough as it is.
